When I began to write this blog, I thought that I would have a great deal to offer. I am not so sure any more. I am overwhelmed by the ways in which women continue to be oppressed in the United States. In many ways, I hold back because of my anger at the continued mistreatment of women.

Today my daughter celebrates her thirty-first birthday. At her birth, I did not think that she would have to continue to fight for the basic rights that should be inalienable; but she does and I do. I get tired of the struggle and wish to pass the baton, but it would seem, for the time being, I must run this race.
